Dining on the beach!!!!
Hilton Head Island is known the world over for its manicured beaches and golf courses, its marinas and harbors. And especially its world class chefs and restaurants.
Walking along the beach, I stopped and talked to a nice woman. I asked her, "is that a private restaurant?" To which she said, "no, that's The Dune House." It's open to the public.
I finished my hike and jumped in the car. It was a short drive from Coligny Beach. Into the Palmetto Dunes area. I passed by the General Store(literally has everything) and the well groomed golf course. Over a couple of bridges and into the palm sheltered lot.
Here's the cool thing about this place. You can get there by bicycle, walking on the beach or driving. There's lots of parking and a giant bicycle rack.

It's a very basic place that is in an excellent location. It has easily one of the largest outdoor beach side dining decks on the island.

It's casual. I was there in a tee shirt and FlipFlops. Most folks were in what I call golf attire.

Super cool bar. And a great menu. I had the seared ahi tuna roll up and some frozen grapes. A very refreshing combo. I could have sat there all day. Very cool waitstaff, chill music and a great menu.
Check it out.
