The Dock Tour is in. If you find yourself on the South Side of Hilton Head, motoring along the gorgeous coast of Georgia and the Carolinas, tie on up to the Salty Dog. Located in Seapines, it’s a great take for land yachts too. I love this place. It reminds me of some of the restaurants I frequented back home. Like TKOs in Scituate.

I went for the Chicken Salad Sandwich, with …I think there were walnuts? Some other magical spice. YUM!. Cold chicken salad and warm toasted harvest wheat bread with perfectly chilled tomato and lettuce. So refreshing.

Claudia took excellent care of me. Kept the diet coke full and even brought more limes with refills.

Regrettably there was no room for Key Lime Pie!! :(

guess I gotta go back. :)

Today was perfect weather. About 76 degrees and sunny. Reggae music mixed with the laughter of families with a chorus of gulls over the water.

Pelican squadrons flew over in a diagonal formation.

And a Manatee even made an appearance.

I soaked in the sun at the end of the dock watching pelicans float around and fisherman cast their lines.

Walking out I realized there‘s Ice cream, a pizza place, a gift shop and a general store.

I think the whole plaza faces west….so it may be a good place for sunsets.
