I consider myself lucky. When hurricane Helene blew through the Savannah area, my neighborhood was mostly spared. Our roofs, however, needed TLC.

I’m a big fan of vehicle marketing. As a matter of fact, if someone shows up and their car is not their company billboard, I am instantly suspicious. It’s something you grow into as life lessons pile up.

I’d seen South Shore Roofing’s trucks all over town. So when the storm was forecast, I called my insurance company to verify coverage and called South Shore to get my name on the list, just in case.

After the storm passed I called the adjuster, who sent the appraiser, and then South Shore came by and looked as well. They sent their guys to tarp the roof until we had a plan.

I had to get my HOA to approve the recommended roof. That didn’t take long at all. South Shore Roofing was more than happy to take this chore off my hands as they had created a process, and built a reputation in our neighborhood for exceptional work.

I am a demanding customer. I asked for certain liability documents to be signed and other forms…more than once as we changed dates and materials. South Shore Roofing patiently accommodated at every turn.

South Shore Roofing has a process. They do it so well, they showed up at 6am and were gone by 2:30pm. Including lunch.

They reminded me to remove all the items from my walls as when the guys get to working, nothing falls.

They were careful to show me everything that they did and where other things might need attention.

South Shore Roofing is a very good company to work with. I was informed through text message along each step of the way and if I asked a question back I heard back within 2 hours.

They never send do not reply emails. They never send do not reply text messages. And they will always return a phone call.

Three guys spent a full hour running magnets over my lawn to pull every bit of nail and metal out of the dying winter grass.

You wouldn’t even know they’d been here. Another ran a leaf blower to remove the stone particles from walkways, driveways and patios so it doesn’t track inside the house.

I’ve never had a roof replaced. This was a great learning experience dealing with insurance, contracts, permits, HOA codes, mortgagors and even fire and safety considerations.

There was nothing left for improvement. South Shore Roofing thought of everything.
