MORINS
(508)222-9875
Finally made the time to go to Morins. Morins is famous for hosting political figures and who’s whos from all over the tri - county area. None of this was known to me until recently. And only through a chance glance left at the intersection of South Main Street and Route 123. Morins’ 13 month renovation project was so architecturally pleasing, it caught my eye from a few hundred yards away. The sign screams, so many things. The black background with the white lettering wraps the brand in a marketing tuxedo. Not surprisingly, the entire team of wait staff is cordial, but not stuffy. Capable of catering to the diversity of client they wish to serve in the area.
Morins, authentic “clock tower” architecture brings a feeling of safety from the elements, and is a crisp modern classic design with painted brick outside. The exposed brick walls give way to sections of subway tile and small sections of wood. The button back barstools rest like costume jewelry on the fresh wood floors. Every other seat shares a hat hook, and charging receptacle at the bar. There are more than enough to go around. Though this is such a social gathering, you most likely won’t need your phone charged.
Attleboro’s anchor brand is located right on South Main Street, now beautifully bordered with brand new condos. If you come by car there is plenty of street and off street parking. The city bus stops right there, and the MBTA commuter rail makes several stops a day very close by.
There’s something on the menu for everyone. Breakfast was made so precisely, for the first time in years, I never touched the salt shaker. Everything, was perfectly timed. Tomatoes, cheese, and spinach were perfectly warmed inside a just slightly fluffy omlette. I could taste every flavor. I was in workout pants and a pullover 1/4 zip, and treated like royalty.
I imagine Morins might experience what I’d call a “seasonal change” multiple times a day, starting with breakfast Morins, then Lunch Morins, Dinner Morins, and Game Night Morins. People “dine” for different reasons throughout the day, the week, the season and the year. Morins serves this entire community like it’s second nature.
The bar is a GIANT. Stemware hangs like diamonds sparkling in the light, a subtle suggestion to the sophistication of their mixologists capabilities. There are enough TVs to watch the game, but not so many that it would be a distraction. There are booths, high tops and dining room style tables for large groups. Such a dynamic place.
The bathrooms are clean, classy and handicap friendly.
I CAN’T WAIT FOR GAME NIGHT!

MANSFIELD, MA
Mansfield, Massachusetts is swaddled by state routes 140 and 106, and 2 interstate highways, routes 95 and 495. The MBTA makes very frequent stops there, providing very frequent service from both Boston and Providence.
It’s a great place for a ride to get out of the city to try out some new restaurants, get a hair cut, see a concert at Xfinity, or a Golf Match at TPC.
The little town packs a lot of venue cred with its close proximity to Gillette Stadium, home to the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution.
Come for a game, and stay and enjoy in this humble little town.

Lawadessa Cafe’

A low base background quartet, mixes with the voices of 20 conversations. I’m transported.
The Lawadessa Cafe’ is a magical Mediterranean oasis. This restaurant hosts a cuisine that is refreshing, healthy and flavorful. Home made breads are baked fresh right on site.
The location alone is a statement. Serving as the foundation to the largest downtown building this broad shouldered bakery and eatery spans the entire corner of North Main Street and Thomas Street.
Easy walking distance to the train and plenty of street parking. Natural sunlight fills the east facing foyer only adding brightness to the beatiful smiles of the friends, family and patrons of this neighborhood place of gathering.
The culture is of love and family. Food. Joy.
Lawadessa appeals to all of the senses. But they add a sense of community, a sense of family, and a sense of belonging. Welcome Lawadessa. And thank you.

NORTON, MA
Norton, MA, specifically route 123 is fast becoming a small business restaurant destination. Many very notable restauranteurs are flocking to this road.
Notable does not have to mean a 20 year resume’. It means they upped the ante. With the masses breaking the chains of chains, there is a push for variety over sameness.

The most difficult thing a business can establish is a community. And to display that from the moment you walk in.
Tasty’s Bagels
(508)622-1032

On a beautiful sunny day in July, I joined my pop in a trip to Tasty’s Bagels. They’d been raving about Tasty’s since I drove up from Georgia 4 days ago.
For good reason. This is one of those places that screams quality. The bagels are made right on site. Boiled in NY and baked right here in Norton, Ma!
I had a toasted poppy seed bagel with maple walnut cream cheese. The bagel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside(kinda like me). The cream cheese was SO delicious.
The portions were thought out very smartly. The size of the bagel is big enough to satisfy but not so big you have a rock in your stomach for 3 hours.
There are local food packagers and preppers filling their shelves. If you’re a seller of your own jellies, chips, breads or whatever, there may be an opportunity for you on the shelves of this local anchor store.
This is like the Briggs Nursery of Bagel Shops. Lovingly designed and decorated, tastefully displayed products and even a kiosk that is SO easy to place your own order.
Coming into the market this well equipped leaves only a bright future for this new brand. This is an OAK. Nothing I’ve seen in any shop of this category compares. I’m not exaggerating. It is a local market, with the convenience of modern technologies.
DoorDash links and others are right on their website. Whether you’re in the store or on line, Tastys makes it easy. They even have their own catering truck for larger orders.
Such a great experience. Thank you. You’re the answer to the over abundance of chains.

This awesome spot is literally a dock with a restaurant on top of it. Gorgeous views of the Scituate Harbor, lots of space to sit and chill inside or out. I had a peach green tea that was spectacular!
The Lucky Finn Cafe’ is a quintessential NewEngland coffee shop. Street parking is available. Safe spots for bicycles and WiFi.
This is a must for anyone visiting, vacationing and staycationing. The Lucky Finn any time of year is excellent. Summer is absolutely amazing.

Selection and strong brands that last. This coastal community hardware store sells an amazing selection of quality products.
An important characteristic when taking on projects that need to stand up to coastal storms in winter, spring, summer and fall.
Seasonal items are always in stock. Tons of public parking in the harbor lot.

Plumbers and electricians will appreciate the equipment and tools that can help on any job site.

Bay State Brewing Company
Microbrew With a Side of Hockey
+1 (774) 420-2233
This is the greatest combination business on the planet. A tap room right next to an ice center. The Worcester Railers play literally 100 feet away in the same building.
This is a true tap room. The casks are on the second level and flow from there to your glass.
The New England mill feel of the neighborhood spills through the double doors. An architectural bow to steel workers, electrical workers, metal fabricators, engineers and plumbers.
Garage doors, open beams and industrial duct work and lighting give a spacious feel. The ambiance screams for jeans and flannel shirts.
This Warehouse Alehouse is host to families and friends. Tons of parking on site. And they validate just before you leave at the information booth.
Easy to find from right off of 290.
