iPhone 15 ProMax
Well....I finally got one. Waited a LONG time for it too.
One of the reasons I love this phone right out of the box is the battery life. Seems like it’s double what my old one is. Don’t take that literally. Battery life is based on hours of use and type of use. So all I’m saying is, it’s noticeably longer.
The Camera is great. Which is 80% of why I bought the phone. It has automatic macro switching. I can take a picture of the pollen on a bee’s leg and it’s sharp as a knife.
Opportunities for improvement….well…the first one is debatable. The volume buttons seem to have a mind of their own. The phone is in a case…..but a case I bought on the Apple Store, recommended for the phone.
I’m not sure how I feel about not being able to turn it off. It’s a nuisance, when it you’re in a dark setting and your phone is glowing. I guess you can put it face down.
Why Apple….why do you give us such a lovely lense with no way to protect it? Why do you trouble us so? A simple magnetic attachment to supplement the case might work. I can see where that’s a double edged sword though. Let’s say your lense cover gets shmutz in it…or sand….then you put it on your phone…..now you have a sandy, shmutzey scratched up lense. Counterproductive.
I like the crystal clear screen, and the quality selfie camera. The pull down option has the calculator in it now…so you can use it without unlocking the phone(public math crisis averted). Being able to change the action button is great. You can set it for your calendar, or contacts, or whatever else.
At the very top of the screen, you can see if you’re playing iTunes or using some other active app in the background. If you tap on that icon, it brings you right to the “now playing” page of iTunes. It’s also a good indication that could be draining battery from the phone and a blue tooth device.
I’m sure this section will expand when I use the phone’s other features. Receiving payments I hear is a good feature of this phone as well. If I discover how that works, I’ll be sure to include it here.

Latest software update I installed is awesome. A few bug fixes and some tweaks to interface and graphical buttonology (it IS TOO a word!!) make this a convenient improvement.
The functional one I LOVE is that you can now stream your iTunes AND record video simultaneously. And I believe it even works with Apple car play!
Themmersome SUPER kewl ones and zeros in that there update I reckon. (None of that is English, I am aware.)
The drop down menu has an improved, color, and increased number of quick link utilities. Satellite phone is here. The option is only available in certain circumstances as there is no “payment” plan for it. Emergency use only.
Frequently used functions like VPN, hotspot and airdrop are located there as well.
I like the customizable button. Room for improvement there would be, if you push and hold to, for example, open the calendar, it would very convenient if you push and hold again, the phone returns to the previous screen.

One thing I would say about the iPhone 15 Pro Max is that it still has no home button. But does it?
The action button is programmable in “Settings.” If Apple programmed the action button to allow it to navigate directly to the home screen, this would be advantageous. Parking your calendar, email and other important dashboard apps on the homescreen is a common desktop. When the home button went away, this convenient feature was removed, or lost in transit.
OPEN RUN PRO
by SHOKZ

These are great. Bone conduction, blue tooth headphones. They do not go in your ear. Reason I like this feature so much is for hearing your surroundings. It's a safer way to listen to music when you're in urban areas, using tools or working in a loud environment.
They charge in less than an hour. They don't hang on your ears so they're comfortable.
Although they used to caution they can get staticky in the rain, I've found the newer versions work fine.
Be aware though if the speakers(the sound part) get saturated they stop working. Extremely heavy rain or submersion is the only time I've had problems with them. I don't recommend swimming with them, they come off easily and sink to the bottom of the ocean or lake.
They connect for phone conversations and everyone has told me the sound on their end is great.
THE MEEPO SHUFFLE

The Meepo Shuffle
Always wear a helmet, pads, gloves and lace up shoes. Knee and ankle support for us old dudes.
I bought this from a dude on Craigslist. I was so nervous starting out....now it's an addiction.
I'm 53. I weigh over 220lbs. In the flatness of Savannah and surrounding towns, this thing is AWESOME.
Having 2 lower leg injuries and my weight made a manual long board very difficult to ride. I'd argue this is safer at the same speeds than a regular skateboard.
The trucks have really tight muffler bearings preventing....side fumbling...and it's powered mostly by magneto reluctance with a deck made of prefamulated amulite surrounded by unobtanium. .......ok. I have no idea what it's made of or how it works. But it's sturdy. It's maneuverable. It's strong. It's durable. It shows little to no wear after use. It's rugged.
It's got a remote with four speeds..
First Gear- use for the first 20 -30 hours of learning how to use your controller and shift your weight.
Second Gear- accelerates faster and goes about 15 mph.
Use to evade dogs.
Only use in the rare case you're being chased by a cheetah, lion, jaguar or cougar. Not necessarily in that order.
Remember to use in sparsely populated areas. Abandoned parking lots or race tracks(Hutchison Island here in Savannah). I go to Tybee a lot and ride. Still quiet pre season serenity there.
Hilton Head is another place that would be cool.
I thought off season golf courses could use their paths to sponsor a race or something like that. Or sell a season pass to eboarders for winter cart pathing.
Lots of cool places to ride here in the low country.
We're happy to say we have created a relationship with Meepo.
Expect to see a link to purchase through us very soon!!!
APPLE WATCH ULTRA.

Always pay attention to where you're going when using electronic devices.
I bought the Apple Watch Ultra for one reason. I achieved a milestone in my career. So I rewarded myself with a timepiece. And I say timepiece because this version of the Apple Watch lept over the first one I had. It's sophisticated and athletic. It checks every one of MAHIs Core values of Mind Attitude Heart and Innovation. As well as our dailys of work, play, gather.
I programmed a trip to my favorite beach from my iPhone using Apple Maps. This linked to Apple Car Play. But as you know, in a car we should be looking out the windshield. The watch will vibrate when it’s time to make a turn, and make a blinker sound. So it’s nearly impossible to miss a turn.
Got to the beach and went swimming. First time I had it underwater for any small amount of time. The display is a cool blue that gives depth and time underwater. I'm not a diver but I'm practicing deeper and longer dives to prep for spear fishing.

Finally got a chance to get it under water for a few seconds. It comes on automatically when submerged. It doesn't log underwater time until beyond a 1M as I was swimming underwater for a minute or so.
There's a great user guide on Apple's website. It's a good read.
The user guide states that this app is not a replacement for a dive computer. It's more made for very shallow free diving and recreational pool use. Free diving can be dangerous.
I'm not a computer geek. I couldn't tell you all the things it does. But it is the most aesthetically pleasing e watch I've seen.
Speaking of 'e' s it sips electrons. Now I don't use mine every day for a run or cycling. But the first major difference between others and this watch is battery life. I use theater mode all the time and with that, I get 3 days of use.
The other reason I bought it is for the dive apps. I want to free dive this year, and this watch is a dive computer right out of the box.
It has a better compass than my super cool car. I can drop waypoints. (Always doing that as I get lost in the woods frequently....and on purpose. It gives elevation, lat/lon, incline and you can mark a location(pin)).
I use fitness tracker, air quality, and weekly weather all the time.
Room for improvement.
The interface between the watch and phone using the camera app could be expanded. The timer options should be longer. 3 seconds is too short for the photographer to tap his watch then get settled for the photo.
The other improvement is that you should be able to run iTunes and record video at the same time.
I want the viewer to hear what I'm listening to when I record video. Especially if you're the host of the party running music and recording the celebration on one device.

The fitness tracker is awesome. I bought an Apple Watch a few years ago....and it basically told me how sit focused my lifestyle is/was. My job requires a LOT of sitting.
The first thing this watch did was told me I need to stand....good for circulation. Especially on airplanes. Next, it congratulated me on milestones. Sounds silly, but it begged me to prove I could continually beat previous performance. And I did.
This watch, was a big part of me being more active. Grateful for Apple's ingenuity and human improvement , lifestyle driven entrepreneurial innovation.
There's a fall protection that can send an sos. Or you can send an sos manually.
This feature activated when I fell straight into a wall at home. It vibrated and made a very loud noise. A countdown started too, calling 911 automatically. This allows you to select "I'm ok" and cancel the alert, which I did. I thought what a great feature for elderly or shut ins.
I didn't even know this feature existed until it went off. So a hard fall hiking, a car accident, a crash on your bike or skateboard, and your watch notifies help. You can set it to be used only manually....for example if you ride a dirt bike. You wouldn't want it going off on every bump.
A family member fell in a boat in a very remote location. He was wearing an Apple Watch and the alarm went off. Luckily there were plenty of people in the group to help him. He was bleeding like a Christmas roast beef.....but we cleaned him up and got him shark proof.
All joking aside, as I saw him fall I was heart broken. I hate to see family hurt. But no moss grows on our family. They're always out doing something. And I was glad no matter where they are, with this watch, they have a way to get help.
The multiple watch faces are as eclectic as a Casio or Rolex with a sporty feel to them. So you can pick one for a black tie event and a different one for hiking.
This configuration is my favorite.

This face I love. It’s the most customizable.
I could get rid of my phone if I add the cell service to it...which I may do.
Check it out on the Apple Store. Tell them you saw it on MAHI-Outfitters.com
JETSURF ELECTRIC SURF BOARDS

Working with JetSurf to see if we can connect for a demo. Still waiting to hear back. Board was in the shop for upgrades.
